43 faces. 43 lives. 43 stories missing their endings.

In 2020, more than 340,000 juveniles were reported missing. Though that number is jarring, more than 99 percent return home, fine, usually within a few days.  

But what happens to those who never return? 

In September of this year (2021), the FBI released a list of 43 people who went missing before their 21st  birthdays, hoping to renew interest in their cases, and asking the public for tips to give their family the answers they have desperately waited for.  

These are their stories.
